PROVARESSC Strengthens Its Governance During Its General Assembly in Mbankomo

INCLUSION OF VAHA ON THE BOARD 


Mbankomo, 14–15 April 2026 — The General Assembly of PROVARESSC was held in Mbankomo, bringing together health sector stakeholders, governance bodies, and technical partners to discuss performance, accountability, and institutional strengthening.

This strategic meeting is part of the ongoing efforts to consolidate achievements under the FPP GAVI programme and to enhance the quality of public health interventions for communities.

An Opening Marked by the Support of Health Authorities

The opening ceremony was chaired by the representative of the Minister of Public Health, Dr. EBONGO Zacheus NANJE, Director of Family Health. In his address, he commended PROVARESSC’s commitment to improving the implementation of health projects and emphasized the importance of strengthening organizational capacities and continuous learning to ensure sustainable results.

Value Health Africa Joins PROVARESSC Governance

A key highlight of this General Assembly was the active participation of Value Health Africa, which contributed to both technical discussions and strategic exchanges throughout the sessions.

Following deliberations and voting processes, Value Health Africa was officially integrated into PROVARESSC’s Board of Directors as Secretary General. This appointment reflects the organization’s commitment to openness and to strengthening technical partnerships within its governance framework.

Leadership Renewal and Continuity

The proceedings also led to the renewal of key governance positions:

  • Bertrand Kampoer was unanimously re-elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors;
  • Geneviève Owono was elected Head of the Audit and Ethics Committee;
  • Ferdinand Tabi was confirmed as Executive Secretary.

These decisions reflect institutional stability and a strong commitment to transparency and accountability.

Review and Validation of 2025 Reports and Planning

The second day of the Assembly focused on the review and validation of key management documents, including:

  • The 2025 programmatic and financial reports;
  • The 2025 Annual Work Plan (AWP).

Discussions were conducted through group work sessions and plenary presentations, allowing for in-depth analysis and consensus-based validation of the documents.

A Performance-Oriented Governance Framework

Beyond administrative processes, this General Assembly marks a significant milestone in strengthening PROVARESSC’s governance. It demonstrates the organization’s commitment to enhancing transparency, performance, and coordination in its public health interventions.

PROVARESSC reaffirms its commitment to continuing institutional strengthening efforts and to reinforcing strategic partnerships, particularly with Value Health Africa and technical and financial partners, in order to sustainably improve the impact of its health interventions on communities.
