What a time to celebrate World Health Day.

Though pressed with the pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic, we stayed together, ever committed and determined to beat this virus and to promote global health. Despite the pandemic exposing the weakness of our current health systems it also revealed to us our unbelievable strength when we work together. We achieved what seemed to be an impossible-a Vaccine at the shortest time known to human history. We immediately saw great improvements to our communication systems as the world went virtual.

As we look forward to building a fairer and healthier world, let us be conscious of the objective reality of health inequalities and design strategies to address the issue which is key in achieving Health and Wellbeing for all. We can only be healthy if everyone everywhere is healthy. That's how interconnected the world is.
