Childhood Cancers Day

STANDING UP FOR EQUITABLE ACCESS TO TREATMENT FOR CHILDREN LIVING WITH CANCER

Every February 15th, we commemorate International Childhood Cancer Day to create awareness and support every child living with cancer.

This year we celebrate under the theme "Better Survival is Achievable"

This celebration is based on a strong conviction that children suffering from Cancer have the right to treatment irrespective of their race, beliefs, culture, or financial status. At VAHA, Every child has the right to good health.

Each year, Over 400.000 children under 20, are diagnosed with Cancer in the world, ranging from:

  • Leukemia
  • Neuroblastoma
  • Wilms Tumor
  • Lymphoma
  • Rhabdomyosarcoma
  • Bone cancer
  • Spinal cord Tumor
  • Brain Tumors
  • Retinoblastoma

Value Health Africa joins hands with other health Organisations this day to stand up against the existence of this health problem in society, encouraging each child to get tested and treated completely.
